Big Little Kid.
There is a special place in my heart for little kids. A main reason for that is because I actually feel as though I am still a little kid – just bigger. I mean, the evidence is there. I get extremely excited when I get asked to play hide-and-go-seek. I love running around with no purpose whatsoever. My number one goal when drawing is to stay in the lines. I will drop whatever it is I am doing to play with other little kids. And, if that’s not convincing enough, I am kind of obsessed with Frozen. So, clearly, running the marathon for Boston Children’s Hospital makes perfect sense.
Last week, I spent a few hours at Boston Children’s Hospital. This was very inspiring for me – seeing all of the little boys and girls, the looks on the parents faces while they waited for their kids to come out of surgery, the nurses and doctors who make miracles happen. Not that I needed it, but seeing this firsthand really served as a reminder as to why I am so happy, and proud, to be running for such an amazing organization. Knowing that the work I put in and the money I raise will help these children and families truly keeps me going.
So, if you’d like to have a hand in making a difference in the lives of these kids and their families, please consider donating: http://fundraise.childrenshospital.org/goto/vdigirolamo. Thanks again to all of you who have already donated! It truly means a lot to me, but it means so much more to them.
